Welcome to the Ride for Hunger blog. Please follow along with me over the next few weeks as I travel by motorcycle to the International Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, WI and back. Along the way I hope to raise funds for the Portland Adventist Commuity Services.
The journey is currently planned to cover almost 6,200 miles and will include 15 riding days and 10 non-riding days.

This blog follows Robert Hastings on his 6,000 mile Ride for Hunger (July 27-August 20, 2009). Between April of 2008 and 2009, the unemployment rate in Portland, Oregon, jumped higher than any other major metro area in the U.S. Robert is hitting the road to raise money for PACS, which runs the busiest emergency food site in the state.
